Fort Knox has transferred the entire military family housing mission to Knox Hills, LLC, at 502-378-3708 or at the Knox Hills website. There are programs available to assist military members and their families in locating off-post housing.

The military family housing at Fort Knox has been privatized under the Army's residential communities initiative program. There are a variety of housing options available within a 20 to 35-minute commute of Fort Knox. Waiting times for privatized military family housing vary. Single-service member accommodations vary greatly with each unit assigned. Fort Knox houses all service branches stationed within the Fort Knox area.
