When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Fort Cavazos ID Cards Facility/DEERS/ID Cards Office:
Supports 175 counties for Enrollment/Update of DEERS and issues Next Generation USID Cards to assigned Active-Duty Dependents, Retirees/100% DAVs and their family members. Common Access Cards (CAC’s) will be issued to all DOD/DA civilians and contractor government employees and assigned Active-Duty Units under Division West. Online appointments can be made at https://idco.dmdc.osd.mil/idco/. Family members, Retirees, and Disabled Veterans must make their appointments within 90 days of expiration by selecting the Ft. Hood Installation ID Card Facility Building 130 TJ Mills Blvd and Battalion Ave, FORT HOOD, TX 76544 link.
Assigned Active-Duty Units under Division West, DOD/DA Civilians and contractors must make their appointments within 90 days of expiration by selecting the Ft. Cavazos MPC 1 “CAC APPOINTMENT ONLY” BUILDING 130 TJ MILLS BLVD AND BATTALION AVE, FORT Cavazos, TX 76544 link. The new location for the Fort Cavazos ID Card Facility is on the corner of T.J. Mills and Legend’s Way, Building 130 adjacent from the Chili’s Restaurant. The sponsor must be present for all transactions while the dependent is receiving an ID card or the dependent must have a DD Form 1172-2 verified by a Verified Official from a DEERS/ID Cards Facility, or a notarized DD Form 1172-2 or a valid general or special power of attorney in order to be service without the sponsor. Also, Active Duty can go to the ID Card Office Online website at https://idco.dmdc.osd.mil/idco and select the Family ID Cards tabs to print out a digitally signed DD Form 1172-2 that can be acceptable for dependent ID Card requests.
Two forms of state or federal issued IDs are required for 18 years and older; one must be a valid state or federal photo ID. Neither can be expired. All names on ID presented for validation must match the names in DEERS. All documents must be original copy or certified copy with file number. All documents must be in English or translated.
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday: 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. closed on all weekends and federal holidays. Office Number: 254-287-5670.
All Soldiers arriving to Fort Hood, Texas will in-process through the III Corps Reception Process Control Station located at building 16008, 42nd Street, Fort Hood Texas 76544. Reception operates 24 hours daily.

To reach the Reception Process Control Station, please enter post through the Bernie Beck Gate and follow T.J. Mills Blvd until you reach Old Ironsides Ave. Turn right on Old Ironsides Ave and then turn right again on 42nd Street. Reception is located on the right. Parking is on the left.
UNIFORM: If signing in Monday through Friday during duty hours (08:00 – 17:00), Soldiers will wear Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP). Civilian attire is authorized if signing in outside duty hours. The Army Physical Fitness Uniform (APFU) is not authorized for wear while reporting.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
Upon arrival, Soldiers will sign-in and can expect to fill out paperwork, turn in documents listed as required above, be assigned temporary lodging (if needed), and receive a 15-minute briefing about the rules and expectations for living in the barracks, and of the steps of in-processing and Fort Hood.

Airport Information: All information regarding flying with American Airlines, including COVID-19 requirements, baggage status, baggage fees and information, status of your flight, create flight status notification, traveling with pets, travel restrictions, and travel updates can be found on the American Airlines website.
Passengers can fly to any destination worldwide from the Killeen-Fort Hood Regional Airport (KFHRA). Currently, there is one (1) airline carriers servicing KFHRA – American’s hub is Dallas-Fort Worth Airport (DFW).
For domestic flights, passengers need to arrive at the Airport one-and-a-half hours (1½) hours prior to their departure time. For international flights, passengers need to arrive at the airport two (2) hours prior to departure time.
Bus -- The Bus Station is permanently closed in Killeen Texas.
Taxi -- There are many taxi/cab companies in the Killeen- Fort Hood area. Contact information is maintained at the Welcome Desk at the airport.
