USARD, Phoenix Battalion

The 5th Recruiting Battalion, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, is responsible for enlisting new Soldiers into the Active Duty Army and the Army Reserve. As one of seven battalions within the 5th U.S. Army Recruiting Brigade under the U.S. Army Recruiting Command, we play a vital role in building the strength of today’s Army.

Our area of operations includes all of Arizona and Northern New Mexico. The battalion consists of six recruiting companies: Phoenix West, Phoenix Central, Phoenix North, Tempe, Tucson, and Albuquerque. Together, these companies operate thirty nine recruiting stations that serve communities across the region.

Throughout our history, the battalion has stood among the top performers in the U.S. Army Recruiting Command. Each year, we enlist more than two thousand five hundred individuals into the Active Duty Army and approximately six hundred into the Army Reserve. While these achievements reflect our commitment, our true focus is on recruiting high quality individuals who are ready to serve and lead.

The U.S. Army Phoenix Recruiting Battalion, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, proudly supports the mission of bringing America’s best into the Active Duty Army and the Army Reserve. As one of seven battalions within the 5th U.S. Army Recruiting Brigade, we serve communities across Arizona and Northern New Mexico. Our Soldiers work from recruiting centers throughout both states, often several hours from Battalion Headquarters, ensuring we remain connected to the people we serve and the communities we represent.
