Check-in Procedures Overview

When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.

Reporting Procedures

Battalion S-1 Section can be reached at 317-549-4924.

Soldiers will report to the Battalion to in-process

Bring the following when you report:

Orders to U.S. Army Recruiting Command Indianapolis
Need to show up in PTs to be weighed in and then change into duty uniform
IPSS-A leave form
Hotel Receipts if claiming TLA

Do-it-yourself move:

DD Form 2278
DD Form 1351-2
Checklist expense form
Weight tickets
Gas receipts
Contract (if you rented a U-Haul or equipment)
Privately-owned vehicle registration (if POV was used to move equipment)

For DTS-Need the following Certificates (if the training has been completed before arriving, please bring copies of the certificates, if possible, and training can be found on the DTS website under TRAX), Statement of Understanding and GOVCC In-processing sheet.
