Most of the battalion is covered under TRICARE Prime Remote - TPR (Civilian Doctor or other medical provider (both are called) a Primary Care Manager - PCM) or TRICARE Prime (Assigned to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base). Family Dental care is available through United Concordia 844-653-4061. TRICARE Prime Remote (TPR) Active-Duty Dental care is provided through the United Concordia Active-Duty Dental Program (ADDP) 866-984-2337.
The TRICARE contractor for TRICARE East is Humana-Military and covers all battalion personnel EXCEPT TRICARE Prime Soldiers/Families assigned to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Columbus Recruiting Battalion is responsible for conducting recruiting operations in portions of Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
Columbus Recruiting Battalion covers three states: Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. The Battalion is currently comprised of six recruiting companies: Columbus, Barboursville, Lancaster, Dayton, Cincinnati, and Miami Valley. Battalion HQ is located on DSCC in Columbus, Ohio. The Columbus Recruiting Battalion headquarters is located in Columbus, Ohio in the heart of the central Ohio. Recruiting companies are situated in Ohio, West Virginia, and northern Kentucky. Headquarters is bordered by Lake Erie to the north, Indiana to the west, Pennsylvania to the east and Kentucky/West Virginia to the south. There are many attractions to visit within a short distance, including Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio and Kings Island in Mason, Ohio to name a few. We are also approximately a 5-6 hour drive from Niagara Falls, NY.
Dayton Company is the only company located within 50 miles of the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base which is located in Dayton, Ohio.
The cost of living in the Columbus, Ohio area is about the same as most areas of the country. Gas prices have averaged around $3.15 a gallon. Food prices are generally lower than coastal states. Housing is no more expensive than other mid-western states depending on the area of assignment. Government family-leased housing units may be available for those that qualify.
