Columbus Recruiting Battalion is responsible for conducting recruiting operations in portions of Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
Newcomers will receive a welcome letter from the Battalion Headquarters with contact information that can be used prior to arrival.
Most of the battalion is covered under TRICARE Prime Remote, with a civilian doctor or other medical provider (all are referred to as a Primary Care Manager PCM), or TRICARE Prime (assigned to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base). Soldier dental care under TRICARE Prime Remote will be obtained through United Concordia Active-Duty Dental Program (866-984-2337). Family dental care is available at a cost through United Concordia (844-653-4061) under the TRICARE Dental Program.
The contractor for TRICARE East is Humana-Military and covers all battalion personnel EXCEPT TRICARE Prime soldiers (those assigned to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base).
