The Military and Family Support Center is one part of a larger network of agencies, programs, services, partnerships and individuals that supports your personal and family readiness. The larger system called the Military Family Readiness System is a web of support for you and your family. The Military and Family Support Center should be one of your first stops once you arrive at a new installation. The programs and services they offer are a key resource for you and your family.
The Federal Voting Assistance Program ensures that service members, their eligible family members and overseas citizens have the tools and resources to register to vote and request an absentee ballot, regardless of their state of residence. The Voting Assistance Guide is a reference guide for everything you need to know about absentee voting in all 50 states, the U.S. territories and the District of Columbia. Select your state to find your local election office’s contact information. Voting forms are also available online. Pre-Separation
Briefings are held at 8 a.m. on Wednesdays for all members who are separating or retiring. The briefings usually last about two and a half hours and are conducted at the Military and Family Readiness Center at 829 Stiner Street on Pope Army Airfield.
Call 394-2538 to schedule your appointment as soon as possible due to your projected separation or retirement date. If you have already attended the briefing, send an email with the date you attended. If you have decided to re-enlist or extend your enlistment at this time, you are still required to attend.
The M&FRC has computers with laser printers to assist in preparing your job search paperwork, including resumes, cover letters, applications and more.
Other available resources include internet access, employer information, computerized job listings and many employment-related books, videos and pamphlets in our Career Resource Center.
