The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) supports eligible DoD-connected dependents in Poznan through the Non-DoD Schools Program (NDSP) given that there are no DoDEA-operated schools in the commuting distance. The NDSP supports the command-sponsored, school-aged dependents of service members and DoD civilians assigned to Poznan. Sponsors assigned to Poznan should register with the NDSP upon receiving orders. Sponsors should review the Non-DoD Schools Program Orientation which includes critical information regarding eligibility, registration, educational options, and available supports.
Local Schools - The NDSP supports three educational options in Poznan:
Sponsors should be aware that admission to an international school is not guaranteed and may be competitive. Additionally, the availability of special education and related services in location ranges from non-existent to extremely limited.
Sponsors should note the following about At Post schools: grade equivalency in Polish schools is complex and may vary depending on school; not all schools are PreK-12; depending on the school and/or grade level the language of instruction may be English, Polish, or bilingual.
The NDSP does not approve or certify schools. Families choose the education option that is appropriate for their student(s).
Due to the challenging educational landscape in location, sponsors are strongly encouraged to reach out to the NDSP Europe Education team (NDSP.Education.Europe@dodea.edu) and / or the installation’s School Liaison Program Manager or designee to coordinate their student’s transition and for additional information about At Post schools and other educational options.
