Cold Steel Battalion prospects, processes, and sustains future soldiers to achieve its precision mission requirements within the DA quality marks and resources allocated while simultaneously expanding both its market and number of partners; executes specified training and Command initiatives though discipline and adhering to standards in accordance with Army Values and Ethos all the while ensuring the quality of life of its Soldiers, Civilians, and Family members.

The main body of the Harrisburg Recruiting Battalion's footprint exceeds a commuting distance from any Military Treatment Facility and therefore requires the service member to be enrolled as TRICARE Prime Remote. If your family is living with you at this assignment, they will also be eligible for Tricare Prime Remote or Tricare Select - whichever is their preference. It is very important that you update your EFMP before you PCS to ensure you are assigned to an area where required services and education will be available. Household Goods

Our supporting Military Transportation Office provides coordination for incoming household goods and unaccompanied baggage to the battalion area. Contact Transportation at the Carlisle Barracks at 717-245-4381/4382 when you arrive to let them know you’re in and what your immediate plans are. Provide them with a permanent address as soon as possible. Claims for damaged goods can be made through the servicing office but must be initiated within 70 days of arrival.
