Contact information for key programs and services at this installation.
When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
In-person in-processing is done every Wednesday at 0900 at BN Headquarters. Please monitor your email to verify if in-processing/welcome packet has been sent, and if not, email our S1 staff at USARMY.knox.usarec.list.4ebn-s1@army.mil to receive your in-processing packet. When emailing, always include a civilian email on the cc line so you can continue to receive important emails while traveling and away from a government computer. Make sure to maintain constant communication with your assigned sponsor as they will be the primary point of contact for items that will require digital signature.
You or your sponsor will also need to contact the Information Management Office shop at 713-588-4060 and S4 at 713-588-4054 to schedule appointments for in-processing and issuance of your computer/cell phone. Attempts should be made to schedule for the same day to avoid multiple trips to Battalion Headquarters. We require that your sponsor accompanies you on your trip to the BN HQs and brings their laptop with them, so ensure your sponsor is aware of the dates.
If you get married while in the middle of your permeant change of station you must inform your Commander/S1 as you in-process and follow the procedures exactly as given. The military will not pay for travel and housing of your spouse if you do not follow proper procedures. If married before PCS ensure your orders are amended and your current duty station reflects changes prior to your departure.
Ensure you provide all supporting documents while in-processing.
