Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.
Everyone experiences family separations due to military necessity. The Military and Family Readiness Center and other base agencies provide mobility and deployment assistance to members and their families to meet pre-deployment, sustainment and post-deployment challenges. Services and activities help prepare members and their families to successfully manage separation and reintegration, increase individual and family morale, unit cohesion, and support operational readiness.
Family members who are relocating to Fairchild AFB and the local area while their sponsor is deployed, on temporary duty assignment or on a remote assignment are eligible to receive these and many more services on base. All family members should check in with the M&FRC. Team Fairchild will ensure that you are cared for.
