Ghedi AB is part of the Non-DoD Schools Program (NDSP; there are unique opportunities and a wide variety of options for school-aged children whose families are stationed at Ghedi AB. These include access to international schools with instruction in English and Italian, local national schools with instruction in Italian (asilos), the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) schools at US Army Garrison Vicenza, as well as home school options. We have a University of Maryland University College (UMUC) representative on site offering various online courses and a couple face to face classes on base each semester. For those students who wish to get college credit by exams (CLEPs/DANTEs), they can do so by having the UMUC Field Representative schedule exams either in Aviano Air Force Base or Vicenza Army Base. The UMUC Representative can be reached by calling 011-39-030-905-3544. Ghedi also has an Education Office with a General Academic Advisor (GAA) on site. The GAA can provide academic advisement, information and guidance associated to military and civilian education. The GAA can be reached at 011-39-030-905-3542.
