Each installation provides information about the types of schools and programs offered on or near your installation for your child. Learn about the types of programs, guidelines and requirements for each school. Whether you choose to send your child to a Department of Defense School, a private school or public school, your installation can help you explore all of your options to make the right decision for you and your child.
Ghedi AB is in a location served by the Non-DoD Schools Program (NDSP). NDSP offers unique opportunities and a variety of options for school-aged children whose families are stationed at Ghedi AB. These opportunities include access to international schools with instruction in English and Italian (grades K-8), the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) High School at US Army Garrison Vicenza (grades 9-12), as well as home school options (grades K-12).
Children can also attend any local national schools with instruction in Italian (although this educational option is solely at the expense of the parent(s)).

Ghedi Air Base offers a few education services on-site, for additional education services contact the Spangdahlem Education Center.
University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) representative is on site at Ghedi AB. UMGC offers various online courses and a few face to face classes on base each semester. The UMGC Representative can be reached by calling DSN 314-632-7556/ COMM +39 0434 305351 or via email at ghedi-europe@umgc.edu.
For those students who wish to get college credit by exams (CLEPs/DANTEs), do so by scheduling exams with the National Test Center on-site. For additional assistance contact the Spangdahlem Education Center at DSN 314-452-6063.
