Our family housing consists of 178 enlisted units located off-base a block away in Sea Breeze Village. Our officer housing consist of 7 units/houses on base. The DSN is the provider of long-distance communications service for the Department of Defense (DoD). Every installation has a special DSN number and the numbers vary by worldwide location. In order to place a DSN call, the caller must be using a phone from a military installation. Cell phones cannot dial DSN numbers. When dialing CONUS simply enter the NWS Seal Beach DSN code 873 and last four digits of your out-going number, ex: 873-XXXX. When dialing from OCONUS, the caller must enter the Seal Beach area code (562) 873-XXXX. The base operator can be reached at (562) 626-7011 or (800) 557-8767.
