If you need emergency assistance, you can expect to get help from your installation, your branch of service resources. There are programs to support you in a variety of situations, including victim assistance, emergencies en route and service-specific relief societies. Below, you’ll find types of assistance, contact information, and detailed procedures and guidance to help you through any tough circumstances that you or your family may face.
For immediate emergency assistance, please dial 911. Or call Red River Army Depot security dispatcher at 903-334-3333. OR call Army Community Service office 903-334-2466 or 903-334-4019.
The American Red Cross can provide limited emergency assistance. The local chapter is located at 821 Spruce St., Texarkana, Texas,75501 and can be reached during normal duty hours at 903-793-5602 or 403-342-3550 or 877-272-7337.

Assistance is given in the form of an interest-free loan, grant or part loan/grant.
Before you leave, ensure you have all important papers with you. Make sure you have important phone numbers with you, including your sponsor's. Your sponsor can be very valuable in case of an emergency while in transit. For CAC information or questions call our “Visitors Center” at 903-334-4349 or 2479.
The local Salvation Army is located at 316 Hazel St. in Texarkana, AR and their phone number is 870-774-2701. They can provide a limited supply of food and possible shelter. They may also be able to refer you to other local agencies for further assistance. Other supports are available on the economy.
