There are programs to support you in a variety of situations, including victim assistance, emergencies en route and service-specific relief societies. Army Emergency Relief
It's advisable to utilize the military's Army Emergency Relief first, if possible. Financial assistance is usually in the form of an interest-free loan. Avoid loans from "check cashing" businesses as the interest rate could be more than the original loan.
