When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
Los Angeles Air Force Base does not have a 24-hour reporting station. If you are flying into the area, please arrange for your military sponsor to greet you at the airport. When in processing at the base, please bring all material from previous duty location and be in uniform. All military members assigned to the Space Base Delta 3 will in process at the Customer Support Section in Building 272 , 1st Floor lobby. Members of the Space Systems Command will in process with the SSC CSS in Building 270, 1st Floor, Room A1-211. In-processing hours are 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Both offices are closed on the first Thursday of the month for training, family days and holidays.
One part of the in-processing checklist is to go the Military and Family Readiness Center in Building 272, Room C1-209. Here you will receive community information and assistance and given information regarding the Military/Civilian INTRO. This is a half-day briefing on the 1st Tuesday of every month from 8 a.m. to noon. Attendance is mandatory..
Don't forget: DD Form 1840 (Pink Form) should be filled out at the delivery of your household goods. DD 1840R should be sent within 75 days of delivery. You can file online. If you mail directly to the carrier, get a return receipt. Note: This is not filing a claim.
File a claim within nine months directly with the carrier to get full replacement value on damaged or missing goods. Do not get estimates unless asked. Full replacement does not mean all new goods. The carrier can replace, pay full value or repair damaged goods.

If you get married before you PCS, you must inform your commander and follow the procedures exactly as you are given them. The military will not pay for travel and housing of your spouse if you do not follow proper procedures.
