Your Military and Family Support Center provides relocation assistance to help make PCS moves as smooth as possible. Resources include:
Newcomers’ briefings are held at the time of your initial in-processing. Spouses are encouraged to attend the portion given by the Soldier and Family Assistance Program Manager.
For information about the Battalion Family Readiness Groups, Army Family Team Building, TRICARE and dental programs are covered by the Battalion Soldier and Family Assistance Program Manager, call 800-790-0963, Ext. 62, who will assist with enrollment materials and problems you may experience.
Your best source of information on the area that you are to be assigned to will be Military OneSource or the SFA.
Do not buy, rent or put money down on a residence until you have finished in-processing with the Battalion S-1. Do not make unbreakable plans. Anyone contemplating renting should check with the Facilities Manager about the possibility of Family Leased Housing and make sure the lease has a Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Relief Act phrase.
