When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
Upon assignment to a squadron at the 439th Air Wing, Westover ARB, Air Force Reserve members will receive reporting instructions and in-processing procedures from the 439 FSS Customer Support office. All military members, on the assigned report date Saturday of your first Unit Training Assembly, will report to the Military Personnel Flight, Bldg. 1875 to begin in-processing.
In-processing begins at 6:50 am and will last until 11:00 am First Term Airman will continue until 4:00 pm. In-processing will include, but may not be limited to, briefings from the Wing/CC, Command Chief, Emergency Management, Safety, Finance, MPF, JAG, and the Airman & Family Readiness Center. Military members will report to their unit sponsor for additional assistance to in-process both the base and applicable squadron and work center. Military members are responsible for making their own lodging reservations if they are in a non-commute status. Please contact The Flyers Inn at 413-593-5421, 413-557-2700 or DSN: 589-2700 press 0 for the operator before 12:00 midnight on the Wednesday prior to the UTA.
Base level In-Processing

ARTs and civilian employees will receive newcomer’s information and reporting procedures through the Civiilan Personnel office. All civil service employees will report to the Civilian Personnel Office, Building 1850 Wing Headquarters, on their assigned report date and time to begin in-processing. In-processing will include, but may not be limited to, processing into your work center, finance, work- center specific requirements and any required briefings. Westover Air Reserve Base has full lodging services however space available rooms may be limited on Unit Training Assembly weekends. The Flyers Inn lobby/reception center is located in Building 2201. Hours of operation are Sunday through Saturday 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The Flyers inn has numerous guest rooms available Sunday through Thursdays; however, due to the installation reserve training mission and Unit Training Assemblies, lodging occupancy may be limited on select weekends.
