Legal Assistance

The Navy Region Legal Service Office is available to provide legal advice to active-duty personnel and their family members. Legal assistance is provided for immigration and citizenship, adoption and other legal matters. RLSO also serves as the base Tax Center for general tax advice and tax return preparation.

The Navy RLSO can assist you with the following:

• Debtor-creditor Issues
• Sales contracts
• Repair work disputes
• Marriage dissolution or separation
• Child custody, adoption, name change
• Landlord-tenant Issues
• Military rights and benefits
• Nonsupport and paternity
• Racial harassment and discrimination
• Sexual harassment and discrimination
• Servicemembers Civil Relief Act
• Civilian law assistance

Claims Services

Claims services are no longer available at the RSLO. Individuals who need to process claims are directed to two processing centers located in Norfolk, Virginia, and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Contact Personal Property at DSN 315-252-3418 for more information.
