Contact information for key programs and services at this installation.
When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
Fort Gordon has a complex assortment of units under different commands and from different branches. Reporting information for each unit is below. You will need, at a minimum, your orders and leave form.
If you intend to take the allowed ten days of permissive TDY for house hunting upon your arrival, contact your gaining unit first to ensure you have the proper leave form. Otherwise, you will be charged ordinary leave. Once you finish your PTDY, you will report to Darling Hall to report for duty and begin in-processing.
You will typically have seven days to complete the in-processing procedure, which includes visits to several locations and orientations. Spouses are encouraged to attend the required newcomer orientation held every Thursday (except for federal holidays) at 1 p.m. To find your way around the installation for in-processing, we recommend our mobile in-processing "Digital Garrison" and/or the GuideOn mobile app, available for both Apple and Android devices.
For Army personnel, sponsorship is mandatory. If you do not have a sponsor, please contact your gaining unit.

Temporary Lodging Reservations – Lodging on the installation is managed by IHG Army Hotels. Reservations can be made online at www.ihgarmyhotels.com or by calling 877-711- 8326.
The Masters Golf Tournament is held in Augusta every year during the first full week of April, quickly followed by the Augusta National Women's Amateur. During this time lodging is essentially nonexistent in the area, and is terribly expensive. It is best to avoid arriving within the first two weeks of April at all; but certainly do not do so without confirmed hotel reservations. IHG rates do not increase during this time for service members and their families arriving on orders, but this must be specified when you search for the availability online or when speaking with a reservation agent. If IHG is at capacity, typically the closest lodging at reasonable cost is in Columbia, SC, about an hour away.
If you get married after your orders have been cut and prior to your arrival at Fort Gordon, contact your sponsor/gaining command immediately to make arrangements for arriving as a married service member. We advise that your spouse delay travel to Fort Gordon until after you have arrived and taken a few key steps to set up your household. Single service members and married service members receive different financial entitlements during a PCS. Bringing your new spouse with you immediately could cause you significant financial hardship. The military will not pay for travel and/or housing of your spouse if you do not follow proper procedures.
Upon arrival you will need to, at minimum, take the following steps:
Students attending their Advanced Individual Training, or AIT, may be restricted from living with their families on or off the installation.
