The average one-bedroom apartment will cost in the neighborhood of $750 and two-bedroom about $1,200 or more per month excluding utilities. Temporary Lodging

The IHG Army Hotel at Fort Gregg-Adams is open 24/7. It provides standard and extended-stay rooms and suites to accommodate advance-course students on temporary duty assignment, military families on permanent change of station orders and other installation visitors whether here for business or leisure travel. Pets are allowed in lodging with payment of a one-time, nonrefundable $75 fee for up to five days. After that, there is a $10 charge per day. Currently there are 900 rooms for extended stay and 20% of the rooms in the old lodging building are designated as pet-friendly rooms. IHG Army Hotel at Fort Gregg-Adams houses all branches of the military and Department of Defense Civilians. Advance reservations can be made by calling 877-711-8326 or 804-733-4100. Privatized Housing

Fort Gregg-Adams Family Housing is managed by Hunt Companies. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Active-duty service members with dependents are eligible to live on-post.

Fort Gregg-Adams Family Housing is an amenity-rich military community nestled among tall evergreens and mature trees. It is comprised of seven distinct villages that exhibit the personality and rich history of Fort Gregg-Adams and surrounding areas. Several units on Fort Gregg-Adams are adaptable for residents with special needs. Units within the different neighborhoods range from two to five bedrooms.

Single Service-Member Housing

The First Sergeants Barracks Program provides first-class service support to single service members in grades E-5 and above. The main office is located in Building 8401 on 27th Street and Adams Avenue. Barracks managers are responsible for assignment, maintenance, termination, key control and much more. Military leadership is still involved in the health and welfare, morale and good order in the barracks. Soldiers who are geographically separated from their families are not authorized to live in the barracks. Service members E-6 and above who are without dependents are required to live off-post. Grades E-6 and above without dependents are authorized to draw Basic Allowance for Housing at the without-dependent rate.

There is no geographical bachelors housing available on the installation. Advanced Individual Training students must reside on the installation in their unit’s barracks. AIT students should not bring family members with them while stationed at Fort Gregg-Adams.

Housing for military students varies depending on student status. Most students are prohibited from bringing family members to Fort Gregg-Adams. Questions regarding housing policies should be directed to the various schools’ cadre.
