A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.

The mission of the Army Community Service Loan Closet is to provide basic housekeeping items for temporary loan to arriving and departing service members, Department of Defense civilians and families while their household goods are in transit. This helps prevent out-of-pocket costs. Some items available for loan are:
Please note: The ACS Lending Closet does not provide bed linens or furniture. We also cannot accept donations or HHG.
Army Community Service Loan Closet is located at1231 Sustainment Avenue, Building 9023, in the ACS Family Resource Center. The main ACS is directly across the street from Burger King. The Family Resource Center is next door to the Main ACS Building. Please call 804-734-6381 for more information.
To borrow items from the Loan Closet you must present a copy of your orders and your military identification card. Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
We are closed Saturday, Sunday and all federal holidays.
Loan Closet items may be checked out for an initial period of 30 days, with some extension granted for up to 90 days. If the items are not returned by the due date, the relocation staff will call or send an email to remind patrons. If no reply, a copy of the issue receipt/invoice is furnished to the unit commander. If the equipment is still not returned, procedures to garnish wages will be initiated. Items must also be returned cleaned, free of smell and debris or the same course of action will apply.
