The Central Enrollment and Registration Office (CERO) is located in Bldg 400 Radio Road; 337-531-1955/1956/2625. Hours are Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Full Service); Friday - 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Full Service); 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. (Limited Service); Third Saturday of the Month: by appointment from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. We welcome registration walk-ins. To avoid waiting in line we offer registration appointments between the hours of 1:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. Please plan on spending a minimum of 30 minutes with our registration staff.

Note: There is no registration fee because of the Army Family Covenant. Individual program costs vary. You will find the fee form on the website.

Please bring the following with you to registration:

• Family care plan for dual or single military households; must be current, or must provide it within 30 days of registration; DA Form 5305-R only.
• Current Immunization record for your children
• Emergency release designees in local area
• LES and pay stubs showing your current level of total family income
• Child Health Assessment/Sports Physical (30 days to return to CERO Office

The Family Child Care (FCC) program is an integral part of the Child and Youth Services (CYS) child care system available on Army garrisons. FCC provides quality home based care for children 4 weeks to 12 years old and is offered in government owned and government leased housing located on post.

FCC has unique qualities that make it a preferred choice for many families. It offers flexible hours: full day, part day, extended /overnight, weekend and hourly care in a comfortable home setting. FCC also offers a 15% cost savings compared to Child Development Centers and School Age Care fees

FCC Providers are vetted and only the best qualified candidates are recommended for certification. Providers must complete background checks and regular home inspections as a part of certification. They also receive paid ongoing training for professional development.

Army policy requires that anyone providing care on a regular basis for more than 10 hours per week, must be certified through Child and Youth Services as a FCC provider. 

Providing unauthorized child care in government owned/leased housing puts you at risk of losing your housing privileges.  Unauthorized child care by an uncertified person puts your child at risk.

The Fort Johnson Child Development Centers (CDC) provides care for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years of age.  Programs operate Monday – Friday and include full day care, Before and After Kindergarten Care, Part Day Pre-School Program and Hourly Care.  The Main Office, Bldg.400. Phone: 337-531-1955/1956.

CDC Bldg. 701 offers a variety of quality programs to meet the needs of all age groups. We offer full day care ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years of age. This facility ensures children are receiving quality care in an environment enriched with age-appropriate activities and well-balanced meals. We strive to provide the best customer service to all patrons.

CDC 701 offers Strong Beginnings. This program is designed as a Pre-K experience for children who are 4 years old and entering kindergarten the following year.

Hourly care in this facility. Summer Camp is provided for Kindergarten children. This building is located at 7576 Colorado Avenue; phone 337-531-7041

CDC Bldg. 702 offers a variety of programs to meet every parent's need for care. We ensure that children receive age-appropriate activities, balanced nutrition and quality care. This facility offers full day care for children 6 weeks through 5 years of age.

Strong Beginnings: This program is designed as a Pre-K experience for children who are 4 years old and entering kindergarten the following year. This building is located at 7575 Utah Ave. phone 337-531-0570

CDC Bldg. 3349 offers quality programming and care in full day classrooms for children 6 weeks through 5 years of age. Child and Youth Services strives to offer developmentally appropriate activities, meaningful interactions and customer service in all facilities.

CDC 3349 offers Strong Beginnings. This program is designed as a Pre-K experience for children who are 4 years old and entering kindergarten the following year.” This building is located at 7687 Georgia Avenue; phone 337-531-6462.

CDC Bldg. 14500 offers quality programming and care in full day classrooms for children 6 weeks through 5 years of age. Child and Youth Services strives to offer developmentally appropriate activities, meaningful interactions and customer service in all facilities.

CDC 14500 offers Strong Beginnings. This program is designed as a Pre-K experience for children who are 4 years old and entering kindergarten the following year. This building is located on North Fort Polk at 2897 Entrance Road, phone 337-531-8400.  The program offers full day care from 5:45 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The School Age Center (SAC) is located at 6125, Bldg. 260, University Parkway, phone 337-531-2941. 

Army School Age Centers provide care during:

• Before school and after school
  • Before School SAC: Available for students attending North Polk, Pickering, and Faith Training.  Before Care begins at 05:45 and ends at 07:30. Buses provided by the school will transport children to their assigned schools. Grades are LA-4 and Kindergarten. Breakfast is not served at this time. 
  • After School SAC: Available for students attending North Polk, Pickering, and Faith Training.  After Care begins at 15:00 and ends at 18:00. Buses provided by the school will transport children to CDC 701. The children are provided with a healthy snack. Grades are LA-4 and Kindergarten.
  • Before/After School SAC: Full day care is provided on school out days for: Seasonal and holiday breaks and school closures, scheduled and due to inclement weather
• Summer Camp
• Hourly Care

Children have access to computer labs and can receive help on daily homework assignments. Programs are nationally accredited and utilize standard curricula through formal partnerships with nationally-recognized organizations such as 4-H and Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA).
