When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. COVID-19 in-processing procedures
Upon arrival to Fort Knox, all incoming personnel will report directly to building 501, on Spearhead Division Ave, to be screened by Fort Knox Public Health and the staff. Building 501 is open 24 hours and the contact number is 502-624-5512.

After first reporting to building 501 upon arrival to Fort Knox, soldiers will then go to building 2020 to schedule their installation in-processing briefing and subsequently report to their organization for accountability.
During the military personnel division in-processing briefing, soldiers will review personnel documents required for in-processing, and the DA form 5123-1, in-processing personnel record will be issued.

All soldiers assigned, attached, or with duty to Fort Knox for 30 days or more, including reserve component soldiers on a contingency or operational support mission, report to Rockenbach Hall, Building 2020, 159 Black Horse Regiment Road, room 130, to complete installation in-processing. If the soldier is on permissive temporary duty, they should report to their unit prior to reporting to the Processing Control Station.
During Duty Hours
Soldiers will report to PROC CS for processing from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. Office will be closed daily from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Soldiers signing in from leave during duty hours should have their Department of the Army form 31, request and authority for leave, and reassignment orders including all amendments. Processing includes confirmation of assignment, publication of amendments (if applicable), updating personnel files, and scheduling in-processing appointments.
After Normal Duty Hours
All soldiers arriving after duty hours are required to sign in at the Department of Emergency Services, building 298, on Gold Vault Road. Contact number is 502-624-1155.
Incoming Soldiers Requiring Billeting
The DES will coordinate billeting with Garrison for single soldiers private through staff sergeant. All officers, senior non-commissioned officers, and all married soldiers, upon signing in with the DES, will report to New Garden Inn, 406 North Knox Street, Bldg. 1327.
