Temporary Housing

The installation offers on base lodging through IHG Hotels.  To make reservations on line , please visit the IHG Army Hotel site at IHG Army Hotels. There is ample billeting at Fort Knox.  You will have the opportunity to sign in at billeting during your in processing appointment. Transient Billeting is open 24 hours 7 days a week. This is not a guesthouse.

Lodging is  IHG Army Hotels, 406 N Knox Street, at 502-943-1000 for lodging assistance. 

They have five facilities available.

Reservations

Reservations are strongly encouraged. DOD Civilians are authorized to stay on post.  

Amenities

All rooms are equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and wireless Internet. Continental Breakfast is served in the mornings.

Official travel is $62.75-67.75 and Unofficial Travel is $77.00-87.00 depending on facility available. It is recommended you call the above number to make your reservations and confirm the cost.

The official room rate requires a copy of valid orders and/or payment on a government credit card.

RV Sites

Camp Carlson offers a total of 56 recreational vehicle sites that have water, electric and sewer hookups with 35 and 50amp. All sites are gravel pads located in well-shaded areas and are within walking distance of our 24-hour laundry, shower and bathroom facilities.

RV sites have a stay limit of 90 consecutive days. Customers reaching 90 consecutive days must depart for 72 hours.

We are now reserving all RV sites. A deposit equal to one day rental is required to make a reservation.
There is no charge for pets, however, guests are responsible for pet cleanup. Pets must be leashed.

Family Cabins

Camp Carlson is excited to offer the perfect destination for your weekend get-a-way, family vacation, or just a scenic night away – our eight brand-new furnished cottages!

Our cottages come equipped with a bathroom, refrigerator, stove, beds, kitchen table, chairs, and a living room with TV. To help make your stay at our cottages as stress-free as possible, kitchen wares, a coffee maker, and a toaster are furnished by the campground. Our cottages offer a cozy, quiet retreat among the sounds and sights of nature.

Please note customers must supply their own bedlinens and towels.

Reservations can be made 12 calendar months in advance. A deposit is due at time of reservation; deposit amount is equal to first night's stay per cottage.

No pets or smoking allowed inside of Camp Carlson's cottages.

Camp Carlson's rugged beauty is yours to enjoy in our tent camping area. Along with the convenience of hot showers and laundry facilities, your tent pad comes equipped with a grill, picnic table and fire ring. No reservation required.
