If you’ve ever considered taking your education a step further, you should look to your installation for more information and assistance. They can help you decide if receiving an advanced degree is right for you, tell you which local colleges and classes are offered and find out if you’re eligible for tuition assistance. The Voluntary Education Center, or Installation Education Center, is available to help you put together a plan to advance your education.
Military spouses can also choose to engage with an education and career coach through the DoD’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, or SECO. These coaches can assist them in exploring multiple tools, resources and information to reach their educational goals. There are nine colleges/university branches offering associates, bachelors or master degrees, which host a satelite campus here on post. All programs in the area accept GI/Veterans benefits and Pell Grant/Student Loan Programs. Most consider soldiers and family members eligible for in-state tuition. Tuition assistance for soldiers can be arranged through the Education Center.

The Fort Knox ACES (Army Continuing Education Systems) provides excellent opportunities for Soldiers to continue their education. Located in Building 65, The Post Learning Center is located in Building 65. Some of the services include: DANTES and Military testing; college programs; guidance counseling and the different colleges and universities.For many soldiers and families, Fort Knox is one of the best tours for continuing education.
The Soldier for Life Transition Assistance Program assists prior military and retirees who are attending school three quarters time or full-time to apply for VA work-study status. This affords prior military the opportunity to work in several agencies on post as hired Work Study students.
