Active-Duty Service Members arriving with dependents, it is essential prior to departing previous assignment each member acquires an official (no fee) passport and a tourist passport. Contact the Military Personnel passport office for further information.
Please note: A tourist passport cannot be used in place of the no-fee passport. No-fee passports are used for official travel of dependents. Tourist passports are used for all leave-type and leisure travel. It is suggested that personnel wanting to travel in Europe obtain a tourist passport before arriving in Belgium. Application for a tourist passport may be made by visiting your local post office or by visiting the US Department of State passport website.
