Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.
The Military and Family Readiness Center provides predeployment support services to help service members, DOW civilians and their family members meet the challenges associated with all phases of deployment. Deployment-related programs deliver information, support and assistance, fostering competencies and coping skills to help deal with mission demands and family responsibilities.
Predeployment briefings are held as a one-on-one appointment at the M&FRC in Building 755, Room 129. Please contact M&FRC, DSN 315-782- 5644 for questions pertaining to predeployment briefings.
