When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
All personnel reporting/checking-in to MCAS Yuma, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, should report to their respective Unit as indicated on their reporting orders. All personnel checking in after hours and all Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron (H&HS) personnel should report to the Station Headquarters, Building 980. All orders, medical records, school records, and important documents such as marriage licenses, insurance policies, immunization records, passports, wills and powers of attorney should be hand carried when PCSing to any New Duty Station.
Before you begin your travel keep these things in mind:
If you get married before you PCS, you must inform your current commander and follow the procedures exactly as you are given them. The military will not pay for travel and housing of your spouse if you do not follow proper procedures and if spouse is not on your Orders. If you plan to marry after detaching from current duty station, please inform your Command of your intent so Orders may be adjusted. For any further clarification ask the IPAC office upon departure from duty station prior to arrival at New Duty Station.
