Contact information for key programs and services at this installation.
If you need emergency assistance, you can expect to get help from your installation, your branch of service resources. There are programs to support you in a variety of situations, including victim assistance, emergencies en route and service-specific relief societies. Below, you’ll find types of assistance, contact information, and detailed procedures and guidance to help you through any tough circumstances that you or your family may face.
Having important information with you can ease the frustration of an emergency. First, make sure you have a set of orders with you when you travel. In fact, it is a good idea to have several sets of orders. Keep your new command's phone number, and sponsor's number with you. Have extra cash and credit cards for emergency use. If you are en route to your new command, and an emergency does come up, try to find the nearest military installation for assistance. Also, the Red Cross is always available for assistance 24 hours a day. You can get the nearest chapter's phone number by calling The American Red Cross at 800-733-2767.
If you need emergency funds while traveling or after you arrive, the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society and the Red Cross may be able to assist with loans on a case-by-case basis. These funds are typically provided for emergency situations only. To help assess your needs, please bring your ID card, leave papers, orders, Military Leave and Earnings Statement, and any relevant supporting documents.
