The 702d Munitions Support Squadron is a Geographically Separated Unit responsible for receipt, storage, maintenance, and control of U.S. war reserve munitions in support of the German Air Force 33rd Tactical Air Force Wing (Taktisches Luftwaffengeschwader 33) PA-200 Tornado. The squadron directly supports North Atlantic Treaty Organization contingency and wartime operations and its strike mission.

The DSN is the provider of long-distance communications for the Department of War. Every installation has a special DSN number, and those numbers vary by location. To place a call to a DSN, the caller must be using a military phone on an installation. When dialing a DSN number from a stateside installation to another CONUS installation, it is not necessary to dial the stateside DSN area code.
