The 702 Munitions Support Squadron has a small but complete support system for its members and their dependents. The primary services are listed below.

  • Community Support Coordinator: The CSC is located on the second floor of Building 512. The purpose of the CSC is to reduce stress associated with making a permanent change of station by providing information, programs and activities for military members and their families.
  • Officer/Enlisted Club – The Valhalla Lounge: The Valhalla Lounge offers a variety of drinks along with an assortment of food and snacks. For entertainment, the club has a 65-inch television with a satellite connection and VCR, several Xbox 360 video game systems, a dartboard, a Ping-Pong table and a pool table in this area.
  • NAF Retail Store/Video Store: The NAF Retail Store is located adjacent to the Officer/Enlisted Club in the Valhalla Lounge. The store offers snack foods, personal hygiene items, beverages and microwaveable foods and also sells gasoline ration coupons with valid registration. The video store features a large selection of movies and DVDs.
  • Fitness Center: The fitness center is located adjacent to the Valhalla Lounge and offers a wide variety of equipment to help maintain fitness.
  • Buechel Dining Facility: The Buechel Dining Facility, located in Building 513C, provides dining services for the Buechel community. Located next to the Command Section Building (512) on base, they serve various main courses, salads, desserts and other items hot off the grill.

Financial Institutions/Banking

All U.S. installations in Germany have a community bank or a service credit union. Both operations provide standard banking services to personnel assigned to bases in Germany to include checking, savings, loans and currency conversion. Another important service they offer is the ability to pay your bills in Euros through an electronic funds transfer directly to your landlord, phone company or other German business. Spangdahlem Air Base is the closest location for both institutions.
