As a member of the Spangdahlem Community, you have the choice to live in government housing (as available) or off base in the community. Spangdahlem on-base housing is a mix of townhomes and stairwell apartment-like units. When planning your PCS, remember that European power outlets are 220V. Upon arrival the Furnishings Management Office will issue each household two transformers for use with any 110V appliances. While you don't need to sell, dispose of, or store your 110V small appliances, realize that the frequent use of transformers with your 110V appliances will significantly increase the cost of your utility bill. As a member PCSing to Spangdahlem, we highly recommend to place your 110V appliances into storage.
