Contact information for key programs and services at this installation.
When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
All Active duty military personnel newly assigned to Defense Logistics Agency Distribution should report to Building 430 Suite 1106 Mifflin Avenue New Cumberland. The Military Processing Operations phone number is 717-770-8817. All other military assigned to other units need to have a sponsor meet them. Make sure you have your unit’s phone number and your sponsor’s office and home number. Upon arrival at Gate 3 Employees entrance display your common access card to gain entrance. If you do not have access to your CAC you will need proper military ID, PCS orders, vehicle registration and current car insurance.
Individual reports directly to unit of assignment. Each military member will then go to their servicing military personnel office.
Department of Defense List of Acceptable Identity Documents Applicants are required to provide two forms of identity source documents in original form. The identity source documents must be bound to that applicant and shall be neither expired nor cancelled. If the two identity source documents bear different names, evidence of a formal name change must be provided.
Primary Identity Source Document
Secondary Identity Source Document
The secondary identity source document may be from the list above but cannot be of the same type as the primary identity source document.
Temporary lodging reservations should be made well in advance. Temporary lodging is not available at this installation. Several hotels are within a three mile radius and offer military government discount. It is extremely important that every military member get command approval for concurrent travel. At this installation lodging is not available. Families are required to use local hotels/motels. This is a big expense to those not prepared.
House hunting trips are encouraged. This allows not only the opportunity to visualize what the new area offers but it also familiarizes schools with school age children. Checking out the different schools in the area ahead of time will give you more time for decision making and planning. Obtaining a sponsor is a great advantage to a smooth move. This sponsor can guide you through the actual in-processing for your unit.
