There are no Department of Defense Schools located on this installation. Our installation is located within the West Shore School District. This school district has three elementary schools, three middle schools and two high schools. For more information you can visit their website.
Bus Service -- Bus schedules and routes are listed on the website for West Shore School District. Buses arrive daily for children attending before and after school at the childcare center.
Meals -- The Food Services Department operates under the supervision of Chartwells Dining Services, a professional food service management company All districts are using a Point of Sale prepay system for student lunches called EZSchoolPay. EZSchoolPay.com provides online meal payment service for parents to enter payments by VISA or MasterCard to their child's school meal account and to monitor the account balance.
Special Education -- Every student in the West Shore School District will be offered an education program that meets his/her individual needs and is suited to his/her unique abilities.
Interscholastic Sports -- The following interscholastic sports are available to students at both high schools.
Fall Season: Football, Boys Soccer, Field Hockey, Golf, Girls Tennis, Boys and Girls Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, and Cheerleading.
Winter Season: Boys / Girls Basketball, Wrestling, Boys/Girls Swimming and Diving, Basketball is also available to seventh and eight grade boys and girls at the Districts four middle school.
Spring Season: Baseball, softball, Boys and Girls Track and Field, Girls soccer, Boys Tennis, and Boys Volleyball.

The installation is located in the heart of the West Shore School District. This rural school district provides a quality education to children of the local communities and children residing on the installation. School bus transportation is provided to children not within walking distance of a school. There are numerous school districts and private schools available to all ages in the Harrisburg area.
Pennsylvania State Law requires a child to be five years of age to start Kindergarten. Parents/Guardians must prove that children have up to date immunizations and a birth certificate.
