A wide range of programs are available for youth and teens, including youth sports and recreation programs, educational programs and programs that support leadership and career development. Please review the information to learn what programs and services are available at this installation.
The Youth Center on Fort Belvoir offers a middle school as well as a teen program for youth grades 6-12. Phone: 703-805-4515.
Youth Services offers comprehensive programs that promote and foster social interaction, personal growth and provides children opportunities to develop educational and recreational skills. Youth Programs provide age-appropriate activities and support services that are balanced across four service areas: sports, fitness and health options; life skills, citizenship and leadership opportunities; arts, recreation and leisure; mentoring and interventions services.

Eligibility
Youth, 6-19 years of age, are eligible to participate. Participants must be family members of active duty or retirees, reservists, National Guard and DoD Civilians stationed at Fort Belvoir.
Youth Centers
Fort Belvoir Youth Services offers a middle school as well as a teen program for youth grades sixth through twelve after school until 7:00 p.m Monday through Friday in Building 1003. Youth Services hours are Monday through Thursday, 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday 1:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Youth Services is located in Building 1003, 5850 Langfitt Loop.
Youth Recreation and Sports
The Child and Youth Services (CYS) Sports and Fitness program offers various opportunities for children to participate in sports. The program is expanding to provide support for children ages 3 to 18 years to encourage healthy, life long habits.
Team sports such as football and baseball are only available with the participation of volunteer coaches and assistants. All coaches are trained and certified by the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA). Players must be registered with Child and Youth Services in order to enroll in a sport.
Youth Sponsorship Program
Fort Belvoir Youth Services offers a Youth Sponsorship program, which helps incoming and outgoing youth adjust to a new installation. An incoming youth is provided another youth of similar age and interest to sponsor his/her arrival. The sponsor will assist with questions or concerns about Fort Belvoir. The youths correspond in order to find out exactly what to expect upon their arrival in Virginia. To request information, or a youth sponsor, call 703-805-1350 or 703-805-3436.
Youth Social Programs
In addition to the after school program, open recreation, teen and youth dances, and volunteer opportunities are available.
Youth Religious Programs

Boys and Girls Club Programs
Boys and girls club programs are available to Fort Belvoir youth through CYS.
