Relocation Readiness Program (RRP)
9800 Belvoir Road
Fort Belvoir, VA 22060
A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
Fort Belvoir ACS has a loan closet that offers an extensive inventory of household items. Items available for loan include:
Child car seats and portable cribs are available to help make your transition in and out of the area smoother. Bed linens, blankets, pillows, and towels are not provided so plan to bring or mail/ship these items to save unnecessary expenses.
The Lending Closet loans items on a first-come, first-serve basis. Prior to borrowing items, military personnel and government civilian employees must provide a military ID and a copy of their orders. Items may be borrowed for two weeks at a time. Requests for extensions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Call the Fort Belvoir Relocation Readiness Program at 703-805-5058, 703-805-3436 or DSN 312-655-5058, 312-655-3436 before the due date if an extension is required. Operating hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).
There is also a Thrift Shop on Fort Belvoir which is located at 10002 Caples Road. It is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, first and third Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for consignments and from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for sales. Our Thrift Shop is newly renovated, clean, well stocked and staffed with friendly folks who are here to help. If you are military, you can open a consignment account to sell your unwanted items.
