When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. The Fort Benning in processing and Replacement Operations focuses on the installation in processing requirements and individual Soldier readiness verification. AG Military Personnel Division (MPD) organizes the various installation agencies needed to welcome permanent party Soldiers and their Families to Fort Benning. New Soldiers/Service Members to Fort Benning, Georgia need to report to: During duty hours- Ridgway Hall (Bldg. 35) Room 239, Ridgway Loop for accountability purposes and to start in-processing with their units (duty hours are: 0600-1600 M-F, excluding weekends, holidays and training holidays).
After duty hours, Soldiers/Service Members need to report to the post Staff Duty NCOIC or OIC at: McGinnis-Wickam Hall, 1 Karker Street, Bldg. 4.

Soldiers/Service Members SHOULD NOT report to their units prior to signing into the Installation Replacement Operations Center UNLESS for barracks housing for single Soldiers. From there the unit will be contacted and Standard Operating Procedures will follow.
In-Processing procedures overall takes on average of 5-10 days based on your own needs. During the first full day of in processing, all Soldiers attend a 4 hour session that involves briefings given by Military Personnel Division, MEDPROS, Tricare, Housing, and Finance. Upon completion of these sessions, Soldiers proceed to complete other in processing requirements identified on their "tailored" checklist.
Mandatory: MEDPROS, On-Post Housing, Off-Post Housing, Finance, Army Community Service, Newcomers Orientation, Financial Readiness Training (1st term Soldiers on 1st PCS) Money Management (E-4-E6, WO1-WO, & O1-O3), Resiliency and Military Personnel Division.
Optional: Child & Youth Services, Government Travel Card.
Other in processing requirements will be conducted at the unit of assignment (i.e., Central Issue Facility, Security Clearance, etc.)
If you are coming to Fort Benning to attend training/Schools, in processing of Students and Trainees is coordinated by the Commander operating the course of instruction that the Soldier is attending.
If you get married before you PCS, you must inform your Commander and follow the procedures exactly as you are given. If you do not follow proper procedures, the military will not pay for travel and housing for your spouse.
The ID card section provides services for all permanent party personnel Soldiers attending Officer Candidate School, Ranger School, Airborne School, Infantry and Armor officer advanced courses, military retiree's, disabled veterans and all Family members. The ID Cards Section is operated by appointments only. It is located in Building 9230, 8150 Marne Road (Next to the Commissary) and it is open Monday through Wednesday and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday's from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The office is closed all federal and training holidays and may close without advance notice to support contingency operations. Eligible persons seeking ID cards or DEERS enrollment for their Family Members must present appropriate documentation.
