The in-processing and replacement operations focuses on the installation in-processing requirements and individual soldier readiness verification. New soldiers/service members to Fort Benning, Georgia need to report to: During duty hours - Ridgway Hall (Building 35) Room 239, Ridgway Loop for accountability purposes and to start in-processing with their units (duty hours are: 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding weekends, holidays and training holidays).

After duty hours, soldiers/service members need to report to the post Staff Duty non-commissioned officer in charge or officer in charge at: McGinnis-Wickam Hall, 1 Karker Street, Building 4.

Soldiers/service members SHOULD NOT report to their units prior to signing into the Installation Replacement Operations Center UNLESS for barracks housing for single soldiers. From there the unit will be contacted and standard operating procedures will follow.

In-processing procedures overall takes on average of 5-10 days based on your own needs. During the first full day of in-processing, all soldiers attend a four-hour session that involves briefings given by Military Personnel Division, Medical Protection System, TRICARE, Housing and Finance. Upon completion of these sessions, Soldiers proceed to complete other in-processing requirements identified on their "tailored" checklist.

Mandatory: MEDPROS, On-Post Housing, Off-Post Housing, Finance, Army Community Service, Newcomers Orientation, Financial Readiness Training (first-term soldiers on first PCS) Money Management (E-4-E6, WO1-WO, & O1-O3), Resiliency and Military Personnel Division.

Optional: Child and Youth Services, Government Travel Card.

Other in-processing requirements will be conducted at the unit of assignment (i.e., Central Issue Facility, Security Clearance, etc.)

If you are coming to Fort Benning to attend training/schools, in-processing of students and trainees is coordinated by the commander operating the course of instruction that the soldier is attending.

If you get married before you make a permanent change of station move, you must inform your commander and follow the procedures exactly as you are given. If you do not follow proper procedures, the military will not pay for travel and housing for your spouse sponsorship. Be sure to check online for more information before you PCS to Fort Benning. The ID Card Center is located in the Soldier for Life Center, Building 9230 next to the commissary. Hours of operation are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Eligible persons seeking identification cards or DEERS enrollment for their family members must present appropriate documentation. Most USID cardholders - including military retirees, reservists, spouses and dependents of U.S. service members and DAVs - can file their requests online and receive new IDs by mail. The USID card being renewed must be active, not expired.
