If you’ve ever considered taking your education a step further, you should look to your installation for more information and assistance. They can help you decide if receiving an advanced degree is right for you, tell you which local colleges and classes are offered and find out if you’re eligible for tuition assistance. The Voluntary Education Center, or Installation Education Center, is available to help you put together a plan to advance your education.
Military spouses can also choose to engage with an education and career coach through the DoD’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, or SECO. These coaches can assist them in exploring multiple tools, resources and information to reach their educational goals. Army Continuing Education Services (ACES)706-791-2000/3622Command Support Center, Building 35200
The Army Continuing Education Services (ACES) promotes lifelong learning and opportunities using Army continuing education programs and services that enable professional development and retention. The programs and services enhance personal growth, professional development and readiness of the United States Army and Fort Eisenhower. Individuals seeking education counseling, in/out-processing, Defense for Non-Traditional Education Services (DANTES) and Army Personnel Training (APT) enrollment in a variety of education programs and services are encouraged to visit an education counselor in building 35200, Command Support Center. In addition to Active Duty personnel, ACES serves their Family Members, retirees, Reservists and Department of the Army civilians.
The Multi-use Learning Evaluation (MLF), most often referred to as The Learning Center, is also in building 35200. The MLF provides a full extension of online information, programs and services to Soldiers, Family Members and Department of the Army civilians.
The Test and Evaluation (T&E) Branch of ACES is in building 35200. The T&E provides efficient and accessible proctored examinations, DANTES, APT and colleges/university test environment, by appointment, in a secure and conducive location. For more information on programs and services, such as basic skills education, eArmyU, tuition assistance or the on-post college program, contact ACES during their business hours 7:30am-4:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; 1:00pm-4:30pm Wednesdays; closed for lunch from 11:30am-1:00pm. Resident Collegiate Programs
Fort Eisenhower's on-post colleges and universities offer an array of educational opportunities. Visit the ACES in building 35200, Command Support Center, for more information on the following collegiate institutions and their programs:
Georgia Military College - 706-793-8577/8588. Associate degree programs in general studies, business administration, pre-nursing, management, communications electronics technology management, criminal justices and data processing.
Central Michigan University - 706-798-5793. Master of Science degree in administration with a concentration in health services administration.
Troy University - 706-210-2825/2821. Associate degree program in computer science, Baccalaureate degree in computer science and political science, Master of business administration with a concentration in information systems and a Master of education with concentrations in counseling and psychology, criminal justice, English, foundations of education, higher education administration, history and instructional technology.
Augusta Technical College - 706-791-7755. Various certificate and diploma programs are offered based on interest and enrollment. Georgia residents and/or Service Members and their adult Family Members stationed at an installation in Georgia can receive the Georgia HOPE Grant to fund their certificate and diploma programs.
University of Maryland University College - 706-207-1407. Master of Science in computer systems management, technology management, information technology, telecommunications management and software engineering. Various certificate and diploma programs are offered through online studies.
Webster University - 706-798-3955. All degree programs offered are graduate programs. Students must have a Baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by one of the regional accrediting agencies to apply for admission. All classes are offered in the evening, unless otherwise listed. There are five nine-week terms per year.
