When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
In-processing is conducted on a walk-in basis in the Military Personnel Division, located at 9301 NW 33rd Street, Garrison Building, first floor, Room B-1020. Enter building from front (facing NW 33rd Street.)
Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (excluding federal and training holidays). Service members must be in uniform to in-process. Estimated time for in-processing is 20 minutes.

In-processing checklists will be given to newcomers during in-processing. Service members have five days to complete the checklist and return it to the MILPO. For additional assistance, contact the MILPO at 305-437-/1715/1717/2750 (DSN 567).
When reporting for duty, personnel must report to the U.S. Southern Command Headquarters, located at 9301 NW 33rd Street, Doral, FL 33172.

If you arrive after hours, sign in the following duty day. You will be escorted by your sponsor, or a liaison, until your suitable clearance is granted. In case of emergency, contact the Southern Command duty officer at 305-437-4900 for assistance. All in-processing is conducted at the U.S. Southern Command Headquarters, although servicing personnel and finance offices may be located as far away as Tampa, Patrick Air Force Base or Jacksonville. The Army Housing Office and Army Community Service (ACS) which serves all U.S. military branches, DOW employees, and their authorized dependents are located in the Garrison Building. The monthly ACS Newcomer Orientation is scheduled each month on the Thursday immediately after the mandatory SOUTHCOM 101 Orientation. To access USAG Miami services, enter through the door closest to the AAFES food court. The Housing Office, ID Card/DEERS, and the clinic are on the first floor. ACS and Legal Aid are on the second floor (Blue Wall.)
Household Goods: U.S. Southern Command personnel must contact the contracted moving office and coordinate delivery of household goods. The best way to arrange and manage the shipment of your household goods or vehicle is through the DOD's Move.mil website.
Uniforms: Confirm with your command. In general, the duty uniform for Southern Command Army personnel is the operational camouflage pattern Army combat uniform, Army combat uniform or the Operation Enduring Freedom camouflage pattern uniform; Marine Corps duty uniform is the Marine Corps combat utility uniform except for Day 1 in-processing (Alpha); Air Force personnel wear airman battle uniform or flight suit (optional) for pilots; operational dress uniform for Coast Guard; Navy personnel wear either the Navy working uniform (Type I or III) or flight suits (optional) for aviation personnel.
