Programs and services are available at most installations for children up to age 12. Care may be provided in Child Development Centers, School Age Care Programs, and Family Child Care Homes. Please review the information to find out what programs and services are available at this installation. The Child Development Center (CDC) operates a full day program for children 6 weeks through five years. Community-based care is available, and the CDC can provide information. The CDC also provides a School Age Center (SAC), co-located at the CDC, which offers before- and after-care, as well as Teacher Planning Day, spring, summer and winter break camps. The SAC provides drop-off and pick-up services at selected schools. For more information on programs contact the Child Development Program at 305-437-1281.
USAG Miami Child Development Center operates a full-day program for children 6 weeks through 5 years old and a School-Age Care Program, a before- and after-school program, and a summer program. This program provides care before and after school and offers camps for teacher planning days, winter, spring break, and summer. Both programs are DOD certified and meet national accreditation standards. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information, please contact 305- 437-1281/1283.

The School Liaison Officer provides School Transition Support Services for families who are arriving to or departing from the USAG Miami/US SOUTHCOM area, Partnerships in Education initiatives, Installation/School Communication, Home School Linkages, and Post- Secondary Preparation Opportunities.
