Family Child Care Homes offer full-time, hourly, and drop in care upon availability in licensed homes for children ages 2 weeks through 12 years. The Family Child Care Program offers child care in a licensed family setting by providers living in base housing and the local surrounding area. These self-employed providers operate their home independently in compliance with strict Air Force policies, including frequent inspections and close monitoring by the Family Child Care staff. Extensive background screening and orientation training must be completed prior to licensing. The annual training required to maintain licensing far surpasses Ohio state requirements.
Various types of care are offered including full-day, hourly, part-day, nights and weekends. Children ages two weeks to twelve years of active duty military and Department of Defense civilians are eligible for care. To enroll in the Family Day Care Program please call 937-656-8686.
School Age Care Programs are offered for children ages 5-12 years of age to include before and after school, during holidays, and summer vacations. The SAP Programs complement, rather than duplicate, the school day. Emphasis is placed on SAP Programs which meet community needs, reinforce family values, and promote the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children. SAP programs are also required to meet national accreditation. Currently the accrediting body is the National After School Association. To enroll, please visit MilitaryChildCare.com to register. Once you are offered a slot, you will be sent an email to accept. You will then come to the program to complete all necessary paperwork. Your child must be current in all immunizations including the flu shot.Fees are based upon income. Parents must provide proof of income to determine fees.
