Mission
DDJC’s mission is to receive, store, and ship government-owned supplies and equipment, primarily to military customers in the western US and the Pacific theater of operations, with additional worldwide capabilities. As a Strategic Distribution Platform, DDJC serves as the west coast hub for distribution activities. DDJC currently stores a wide range of supplies and equipment commonly ordered by the military services, including clothing and textiles, food, medical supplies, construction materials, electrical supplies/components, sonabouys, tires for both aircraft and vehicles, and a wide array of secondary repair parts. DDJC was the winner of the Commander-in-Chief’s award for Excellence in 2018. The award recognizes the outstanding and innovative efforts of the people who operate and maintain U.S. military installations. The Center was cited for increasing productivity, reducing transportation costs, and ongoing efforts in the area of customer support, workforce improvements, and environmental compliance and support services.
History

In terms of economic impact, the Depot employs a workforce of approximately 1,500 with a payroll of $9.5 million. Total annual operating costs for the Depot amount to $206 million which includes salaries, transportation, utilities, supplies and contracts.
Location
DDJC is the DLA's Western Strategic Distribution Platform located in Tracy, CA. The center is centrally located for easy access to complex interstates, waterways, air and rail transportation networks.
Directions
From Sacramento International Airport
Depart airport heading toward I-5 South. Merge onto I-5 South via the ramp and stay on this freeway for approximately 71 miles. Take exit 458A toward Tracy. Merge onto West 11th street and follow it for approximately 4 miles. Make a left turn onto South Chrisman Rd. driving roughly 1 mile and Enter Main Gate or Employee Gate on the left. The Truck Gate is the only gate that is open 24/7.
Base Transportation
DDJC offers a taxi service, at no charge, to employees traveling between buildings on the Depot by calling 209-839-4127. If employees prefer and meet all qualifications, they have the option of utilizing ride share/van pools to and from work.
