Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.
The Deployment Support program provides guidance, resources and training to deployed service members and their families. Support is available to deploying units by providing pre-deployment information and material to members and their family members, in addition to assistance when returning home from a deployment.
Contact the family program manager at 209-839-5029 during business hours for more information on deployment support.
Military OneSource is accessible to active duty, reserve, and National Guard service members, as well as their family members. Civilians of the Department of Defense and their families who are deployed may use Military OneSource during their deployment and for up to six months following their return.
Contact Military OneSource 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 800-342-9647 for information and assistance. Military OneSource is a free support service provided by the DOD and offers assistance and resources to service members and their family members on many different issues. Military OneSource supplements existing installation services, provides free help and information by phone with a professionally trained consultant on a wide range of issues that affect you and your family. This service is also available online at the Military OneSource website.
Employee Assistance Program:

Family members of deployed members are also eligible for this service. EAP is an employer-paid benefit and services are free to DLA employees. You may also access assistance online at Magellan Ascend.
