Buckley SFB's host unit Space Base Delta 2 (SBD2) falls under the direction of the United States Space Force.SBD2 is responsible for day-to-day support to the operational mission of Space Delta 4 (DEL 4) Missile Warning Delta. Buckley SFB and DEL 4 directly support Combatant Commands across the globe.
Buckley SFB is home to 117 tenant units including Mission Delta 4, the 140th Wing, the Army National Guard Colorado, the Navy Reserve Center Denver, the Aerospace Data Facility-Colorado, and the Air Reserve Personnel Center. These are also known as the "Big Six" mission partners at Buckley.
Although not an official joint base, Buckley SFB truly represents a Total Force, coalition base. Personnel include active duty members from every service branch, National Guard and Reservists, commonwealth international partners, DOD civilians, contractors, and a community of over 96,000 retirees, veterans and dependents. The base contributes over $2.6 billion annually to the local economy.
The DOD Relocation Assistance Program (RAP) is a vital resource to all PCSing personnel, as well as their authorized families members. All DoD installation relocation programs offers easy access to formal programming or online tools to assist at every stage of the PCS. The RAP supports the time-honored tradition and culture of taking care of Airmen, Guardians, and families to ensure effective contribution to unit, installation mission, and community.
Welcome to Buckley Space Force Base! Our installation's Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) is the hub for Buckley's RAP process via the Pre-Arrival Orientation and then the Newcomers' Orientation. We routinely connect individuals and families with the right PCS resources. In the event we are unable to provide direct assistance, warm-handovers will be provided to the best available resources.
