The Buckley Judge Advocate Office offers legal assistance for civil matters and advice on various other issues for active duty military members and their dependents. Appointments for eligible retirees and their dependents are available, as well. Air National Guard and Reservist members must be on Title 10 orders to be eligible to receive the full spectrum of legal assistance services. However, Reservists and Guardsmen are eligible for deployment ready assistance to include wills/notaries/power of attorneys/SCRA/USSERA.

Hours of Operation - Notaries and POAs services are walk in Monday - Thursday from 8 – 12 and 1:30 – 3:30pm. For faster service, complete a POA worksheet online at https://aflegalassistance.law.af.mil/lass/lass.html. Then bring in your ticket number or call the Legal Office to inform them of the ticket number.

Legal assistance is available for Wills on Friday mornings by appointment only. The Legal Office schedules all other appointments on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and afternoons (there are some issues we are not able to give legal advice on). Notify the Legal Assistant who is scheduling your appointment of the general nature of your visit and military status: Active Duty, retiree, or dependent status. If you are seeking assistance for preparation of your last will and testament, a will worksheet must be completed, and submitted to the Legal Office prior to your appointment with the attorney. The Will worksheet is available at the Legal Office by calling 720-847-6444 or online at https://aflegalassistance.law.af.mil/lass/lass.html. Please call the Legal Office to confirm appointments made online and/or to confirm office hours.

• Tax assistance is currently being provided by Military OneSource, 800-342-9647, www.miltaryonesource.mil and/or local off base VITA Tax Center. Call the Legal Office to obtain the Tax center's information (most are free of charge)
• Personal property and household good claims

A claim representative is on hand to accept claims, answer questions concerning claim submittals, or provide claim forms. You can turn in the DD Form 1840/R, Notice of Loss or Damage, to the claim office daily. Claims submissions for reimbursement are made by appointment only. For assistance call 720-847-6444.
