Below, you’ll find types of assistance, contact information, and detailed procedures and guidance to help you through any tough circumstances that you or your family may face.
AID SOCIETIES
To apply for Emergency Financial Assistance please go to https://portal.afas.org/ea-elibility/ and complete the online application process. This is the process for all service members and retirees who are within 50 miles of Buckley SFB, regardless of branch of service. If this is your first time using the new AFAS system, be sure to use your personal email address when registering on the site.
If you started an application for assistance and are returning to the site to complete the process, please go to https://portal.afas.org/my-applications/.
Once you have completed and submitted the application with supporting documentation, you will receive a verification email from HQ-AFAS. Your application will be routed to HQ-AFAS in Arlington, VA and one of their caseworkers will call you from a 703 or 571 area code to discuss your case.
If you are experiencing difficulty with the process, call HQ-AFAS at 703-972-2604 for assistance.
