Legal Assistance

Active-duty Soldiers and their dependents, and Retirees and their spouses are eligible to utilize the Legal Assistance Office. In general, National Guard or Reservists must be activated on orders to use Fort Huachuca's Legal Assistance Office; if they are not activated, they must contact their local unit JAG representatives for assistance.

Note: In June 2026, the Legal Assistance Office is moving to a new location: 2476 Tindall Street, Building 52120, Fort Huachuca, AZ 85613. The Legal Assistance Office will no longer be co-located with the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate at Building 51102.

• Family Law (for example, Divorce, Separation, Custody)
• Estate Planning (Wills)
• Real Estate (for example, Landlord/Tenant, SCRA)
• Consumer Transactions
• Civilian Administrative (for example, Immigration)
• Military Administrative (for example, FLIPL, Class Drops, Suspect Rights for Command-Directed Investigations, GOMORs)
• Powers of Attorney
• Notarization

Walk-ins are available for notarizations and Powers of Attorney only, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. All other services require an appointment by either:

• walking in to the office between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
