Installation Specific Information
The Personnel Processing Center briefing is held on Tuesdays from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at TAPS located at 908 Butler Rd. Bldg. 22420. In-processing includes Newcomers Orientation on Wednesdays 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Murr Community Center, building 51301, located on Cushing Street, for Soldiers, Family members, and DOD civilians. Relocation Readiness Program
RRP provides numerous resources, information, and classes for the Soldier and family upon relocation to Fort Huachuca. Some individual units will provide their own newcomers orientation. Reentry briefs are offered at the weekly in-processing briefing. Conversational English classes are offered at the installation for foreign born soldiers and family members and ESL classes are available at Cochise College in Sierra Vista. There is a small fee for ESL classes depending on the sponsors grade at Cochise College. Outgoing Soldiers and Families are offered counseling, gaining installation information and coordination, sponsorship training, Overseas Orientations and access to the Lending Locker. Our Lending Locker provides essential items primarily for the PCSing family while household goods are in transit. Our inventory includes cookware, dinnerware, small kitchen appliances and folding tables and chairs. There are no linens. Relocation Readiness Program and Lending Locker are especially designed to make transition into our community an easier, more pleasant experience. Out-processing
Everyone who is out-processing must clear SFRC, Exceptional Family Member Program, Army Emergency Relief. No one else is authorized to sign clearance papers for these organizations. SFRC maintains comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date information on available civilian and military community resources.
