Northeastern University is accredited through the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEAS). 360 Hunting Ave., Boston, MA 02115-9959, 617-373-2000. Northeastern University - is a nonprofit, private research University that has a long - standing history of supporting Servicemembers and veterans, leveraging the institution’s experiential learning model, top-ranked career services, and an expansive alumni and employer network. In 2015, the Northeastern University's Charlotte Campus created a partnership with Fort Liberty, the largest DoD installation in the U.S., to offer a fast-track master's degree to active duty servicemembers transitioning out of the military into civilian careers. Veterans, spouses, family members and Civilians can also participate in the programs. On base recruitment for the Master of Science-Project Management, Master of Science-Homeland Security and Master of Science-Leadership began January 2016. Some of our earliest military students were men returning from World War I. In the years following World War II and the Korean War, Northeastern University instituted a professional college to service the education boom among veterans returning from these extended campaigns. In the present day, our variety of academic programs are helping educate sailors, soldiers, Marines, and airmen both at CONUS stations and while deployed abroad. Locally, on-campus and hybrid course offerings make it possible for soldiers and veterans to continue their studies while maintaining full-time jobs and Family responsibilities. Northeastern’s programs have continued to see an influx of veterans in recent years. As the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have drawn to a close and service branches begin to downsize, military members are seeking to position themselves for success after enlistment. America’s veterans and Service members and their families sacrifice so much for the sake of our country. We are proud to stand with the organizations, companies and individuals who commit to honor veterans and Service members in the best way possible, by supporting their successful return to civilian life. That’s why, for six consecutive years in a row, we’ve been named a Military Friendly University. This means that we’ve met the qualifications outlined by military-friendly.com that certify we’re in the top tier of institutions to offer leading opportunities for military service members and spouses. Northeastern University is committed to serving those who have served our country.
